Died of burns and other injuries suffered in a firetruck automobile crash on September 23. Schneider was trapped behind the wheel of Ladder 16 which he was driving to a minor fire and explosion at the Prest-O-Lite company on Brotherton Rd. An autmobile driven by Edwin Reese pulled out of the Hyde Park Country Club and turned into the path of the truck. Reese was killed instantly. Schneider was survived by his wife Norma and two daughters Anna Glancy and Catherine Janson.
