Trindle died of a heart attack shortly after extinguishing a blaze in an apartment at 664 W. Fourth. Trindle was the driver of the Hose Tender for Engine Company 1. Trindle was heard coughing shortly before he collapsed. Trindle had been a fireman for 32 years and lived at 17 E. Mitchell Ave with his wife. Trindle had no children.
